STP Program Announcement
The Grays Harbor Council of Governments is issuing a call for projects under the Surface Transportation Program. The submittal deadline is 4:30 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008.
This funding cycle will obligate our last two years of funding under the Federal Transportation Act SAFETEA-LU. Because we are in the final two years of the Act and there have been federal rescissions we have a smaller amount of funds to obligate this round - $1,618,861. Please take this into account if you are considering submitting more than one application.
Please be sure to review the application, submittal requirements, and the Policies and Criteria. Make sure your project meets the threshold requirements before completing your application. Below you will find the application materials available for download. If you have problems with application material files, please contact the GHCOG at 537.4386 to have files emailed directly to you.
Applications will be packaged with a ranking sheet and mailed out to the members of the STP Technical Advisory Committee on Friday, November 7, 2008. All ranking sheets are to be returned to the GHCOG no later than 4:30 p.m. on November 20th. The rankings will be tallied and a recommended project list forwarded to the Policy Board for consideration of funding at the December 4, 2008 meeting.
Federal Highway Administration approved functional classification maps can be found on the WSDOT web site at: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/mapsdata/tdo/FunctionalClassMaps/default.htm. These will be of assistance when filling out your STP application.
