Surface Transportation Program (STP) funding authority

GHCOG is the funding authority for the Grays Harbor County Region Surface Transportation Program (STP), serves as the Policy Board and retains decision making authority on the distribution of STP funds. STP dollars are used to fund transportation related projects that support regional goals and meet the pre-established program criteria. GHCOG funded $3.9 million in fall 2012 and $2.1 million in spring 2013 for transportation projects throughout Grays Harbor County.

Grays Harbor Region: Surface Transportation Program (STP) Policies and Procedures

A revision of the Grays Harbor Region's STP Policies and Procedures was approved on 10/23/14 under Resolution 589 to meet federal eligibility requirements as outlined in the 2012 Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP‐21) and WSDOT’s fiscal constraint provisions. These policies and procedures direct the distribution of regional STP funds, establish guidelines for redistribution of funds, and most importantly ensures that the Grays Harbor Region reduces the potential for regional funds being sanctioned by the State.
